The Compete Elite mission is to build elite athletes who move better, perform for longer, and are mentally stronger than their counterparts. Make no mistake about it, we are competitive but it is our contention that the path to long term success comes not from a narrow minded focus on focus on the year goal but instead the journey. Is this the fastest way to the top? Maybe not. Is it the method that will keep you there for 10 years? Yes. Movement is king, the athletes that prioritize the repetitive practice of refining mechanics will inevitably see their full potential expressed. Athletes who move better, will move safer. Their bodies will hold up longer keeping them at their competitive peak for years. Finally, Athletes who dig within themselves and work on their weakness day in and day out, those who focus on finding perfection in the simple, ordinary and boring will find that it changes them. Mentality becomes a focus, understanding that the margin for success in this sport comes and goes in the blink of an eye. The difference between success and failure then boils down to what you will say to yourself in those moments. Our athletes KNOW they will say, I CAN, I WILL, and the ultimately I DID. Not because they walk in with that drive inherently built into their DNA but because they work on refining themselves every day.

Connor is fondly remembered as the Original CrossFit Kid, having played an integral “guinea pig” role in Jeff and Mikki’s development of the CrossFit Kids program. He grew up immersed in CrossFit, attending and helping at many Level 1 courses and specialty seminars and participated at the first two CrossFit Games as a young teen competing against adults. From 2008 to 2015, his tenure on the CrossFit Inc. seminar staff included work with the CrossFit Kids, Level 1, and Level 2 seminar teams teaching over 150 seminars worldwide, a distinction earned by only a very few CrossFit Inc. instructors. He also holds the unique distinction of being one of the only trainers to pass the Certified CrossFit Trainer test world wide.

For Connor, 2015 was a year of tremendous growth and change. He and his family moved to Houston, Texas, where he took a job as Head Coach at CrossFit EaDo. He also left CrossFit Inc. to devote time not only to his new gym but to his position as instructor for the TBXM™ Advanced Kids Course. He holds certificates in the TBXM™ Online Basic Kids Program, TBXM™ Advanced Kids Course, and TBXM™ Teen Weight Lifting Course.

Over the past two years Connor has coached, numerous regional athletes, coaching EaDo's team to two 6th place finishes at the South regional in 2016 and 2017. In 2017 Connor coached his first two CrossFit Games Qualifiers in the 16-17 teen division.

Connor has recently joined the staff at CrossFit Central Houston and is excited about the new headquarters for Compete Elite.
